6-0, 92-0

My Independence Patriots won their 6th straight state 4-AA championship in a row today, overcoming 5 turnovers to beat New Bern 38-19. They've now won 92 games in a row - their last loss coming early in the 2000 season. That's the longest high school football winning streak in the country. Not bad for a team that only won 8 games the entire 3 years I went to school there. Go Big I!

You had it good. I graduated the following year. They only won 4 in the three years that I was there. You didn't mention that we were one of the biggest high schools in the state and the track team was a power, so it wasn't a lack of talent. It is all coaching.

Actually, it's not the longest winning streak in the country. It's De La Salle High School located in Concord, California. They have a 113 game winning streak. Haven't lost since 1991. Just a little FYI.

Not true. De La Salle actually won 151 games in their streak but it ended in 2004. Independence is now up to 99 straight with the longest CURRENT streak. Good article on both - http://www.contracostatimes.com/mld/cctimes/sports/high_school/14985741.htm
