Spring?

Despite the cold this morning and that predicted for tomorrow, the flora would certainly say that spring has sprung. Not sure what the fauna is saying. Took a walk through the Arboretum while J wento to Sunday evening services and took these pictures - enjoy!
There were lots of varieties of daffodils in bloom, as well as about 4-5 kinds of magnolias.

Then I ran into my buddy Pete the Possum - walked within 3 feet of where he was getting some sun and he didn't move. Oh, I could see him breathing so I knew he wasn't dead, but it was weird. My understanding is that possums rarely get rabies (they have a low body temp compared to other critters) so I didn't worry too much about him not running away - I supposed he was playing possum.

You've got spring and possums. We have, well, coldish days and a few crocuses in Boston.

Was just up in Northern Virginia and was quite surprised how far behind in springiness it is, but we're way ahead of normal as well. Hope it warms up for you soon!
