Gnumoon and NIN

Gnumoon shot the Nine Inch Nails show Thursday in Greeneville, SC and posted some pretty damned awesome pics. I've never tried shooting an arena show, but my attempts at shooting club shows have not produced much of use. Nicely done!

Hey, thanks for the link and the kind words. I was happy with some of my shots from the NIN show, but I obviously ended up with a lot of junk as well. Strobes and fire mess with metering just a *tad*.

I was shooting with a 180mm, 2.8 lens (close-ups, isolation shots) and a 28-80 lens (for the crowd/ambience shots).
I'm embarassed to say what camera I was using - it's an older Fuji SLR that is in line to be replaced in the next few weeks. Luckily the graininess of that camera at higher ISOs (800 & 1600) actually gave a cool effect for this type of gritty, industrial show. (Or maybe that's just me putting a PR spin on the crappiness of the camera...)

Lex- It's really cool that you got to shoot Springsteen. What a memory to own forever- a guy I know shot the Stones back in the 70s, and having those negatives is like owning a piece of rock history.
