Three Years Really Old

Got an email from my boy Lex reminding me that this is the 3rd anniversary of the first post of Half-Life and Times - fitting since he was the guy that got me started. I didn't remember because I'm afraid I haven't had much time to blog lately. There's certainly been a lot to say but so much of it has been so topical that by the time I get a few minutes to put something down on electrons, it's about 3 days to late. Like I really wanted to comment about the Charles Crapheimer column about whether we should be focusing on Afghanistan or Iraq (he was completely wrong of course) but that was a whole week ago - too late to be bringing it up now.

Days like today don't help. I got up at 3:30 this morning in order to get to the airport in time for a 7am flight to DC, which got a few minutes over the NC/VA line before being turned back to RDU due to mechanical problems. Since I was only going up for the day and had a meeting at 9:30, it didn't make sense for me to reschedule, so I just went on into the office. Certainly better than crashing of course but not the best of days. That's the kind of stuff that I'm afraid gets in the way of blogging. But there are enough bloggers out there that I admire that keep me going in whatever capacity I can manage. Thanks y'all.
