He had a huge fund raising campaign back in the 70's or early 80's (can't remember, the 80's were good to me). I think he said something wild like god would take him by March 31 if the coffers didn't receive x-million dollars. March 31, wtf? is what I was thinking. Then it hit me, April Fools day was his out. I think he didn't have to play that hand but it would have been funny stuff.
